What is the difference between the surface processing of spiral steel pipes and stainless steel pipes

Let’s first talk about the original surface of stainless steel pipes: NO.1 The surface that is heat treated and pickled after hot rolling. It is generally used for cold-rolled materials, industrial tanks, chemical industrial equipment, etc., with a thicker thickness of 2.0MM-8.0MM. Blunt surface: NO.2D After cold rolling, heat treatment, and pickling, the material is soft and the surface is silvery white. It is used for deep stamping, such as automotive components, water pipes, etc.

The surface processing and different levels, characteristics, and uses will lead to different treatment methods, and considerable attention and caution are still required in the application.

The surface treatment of spiral steel pipes mainly uses wire brushes and other tools to polish the surface of the steel, which can remove loose or raised oxide scales, rust, welding slag, etc. Hand-opening tools can reach the Sa2 level for rust removal, and power tools can reach the Sa3 level for rust removal. If the steel surface is attached to a solid iron oxide scale, the tool rust removal effect is not ideal, and the anchor pattern depth required for anti-corrosion construction cannot be achieved.

Hairline: HL NO.4 Products with grinding patterns generated by continuous grinding with polishing belts of appropriate grain size (subdivided into 150-320). Mainly used for architectural decoration, elevators, doors and panels of buildings, etc.

Bright surface: BA Products are obtained by bright annealing after cold rolling and flattening. The surface gloss is excellent and has a high reflectivity. It is like a mirror surface. It is used for household appliances, mirrors, kitchen equipment, decorative materials, etc.

After the blasting (blasting) rust removal of spiral steel pipes, the physical adsorption effect of the pipe surface can be expanded, and the mechanical adhesion effect between the anti-corrosion layer and the pipe surface can be enhanced. Therefore, blasting (blasting) rust removal is an ideal rust removal method for pipeline anti-corrosion. Generally speaking, shot blasting (sand) rust removal is mainly used to treat the inner and outer surfaces of pipes, and shot blasting (sand) rust removal is mainly used for the surface treatment of pipes.
