Welding, also known as welding, is a manufacturing process and technique that can join metals or other thermoplastic composite materials such as plastics by applying heat, high temperature, or high pressure. There are three welding methods of straight seam steel pipe:
1. Fusion welding. The workpiece is heated to form a molten pool. After cooling and solidification, the molten pool can be connected, and filler materials can be added if necessary. It is suitable for pressureless welding of various metals and alloys in enterprises.
2. Pressure welding. During the welding process, pressure must be applied to the welded parts, which belong to the processing of various metal materials and certain metal materials.
3. Brazing. The use of metal structural materials with a melting point temperature lower than that of the base metal can be used as a brazing filler metal to wet the base metal with liquid solder, fill the joint gap, diffuse the base metal, and realize the welding of connecting weldments. Dissimilar and metal or uneven leads to welding of materials.
The welding temperature of the low carbon steel straight pipe is controlled at 1250 degrees to 1460 degrees, which can meet the requirements of the pipe wall thickness of 3 to 5 mm. When the input heat resource is insufficient, the welding edge of the heated straight seam steel pipe cannot reach the required welding working temperature, and the metal industrial structure can maintain a firm, non-melting, or penetration; when the input heat is too large, the welding edge is heated. To exceed the welding ambient temperature, resulting in overheating of the weld or the formation of droplets.
A common feature of various pressure welding methods is the use of pressure without filler material during the welding process. Most pressure welding methods, such as diffusion welding, high-frequency welding, cold pressure welding, etc. There is no melting process, so there is no problem of burning loss of alloying elements and intrusion of harmful elements into the weld, which simplifies the welding process and improves the safety and hygiene conditions of welding. At the same time, because the heating temperature is relatively low, the heating time is short, and the thermal influence is small. Many materials that are difficult to weld by fusion welding can often be welded into high-quality joints with the same strength as the base metal by pressure welding.
