In the process of anti-corrosion construction of oil and gas pipelines, the surface treatment of large-diameter submerged arc steel pipes is a key factor in determining the service life of pipeline anticorrosion, and it is the premise of whether the anti-corrosion layer can be firmly combined with large-diameter submerged arc steel pipes. According to research institutes, the service life of the anti-corrosion coating depends on factors such as the type of coating, coating, and construction conditions, and the surface treatment of large-diameter submerged arc steel pipes affects about 50% of the service life of the anti-corrosion coating. According to the requirements of the layer standard on the surface of large-diameter submerged arc steel pipes, the surface treatment methods of submerged arc steel pipes are constantly improved. The following are several de-rusting methods recommended by Meide Steel Control Manufacturing Co., Ltd.:
1. Cleaning: Use solvents and emulsions to clean the steel surface to remove oil, grease, dust, lubricants, and similar organic matter, but it cannot remove rust, scale, welding flux, etc. on the steel surface, so it should be used in defense The middle is only used as an auxiliary method, and it is also a simple maintenance method.
2. Pickling: Generally, chemical and electrolytic methods are used for pickling treatment. Only chemical pickling is used for pipeline anticorrosion, which can remove scale, rust, and old coatings. Sometimes it can be used for reprocessing after sandblasting and rust removal. Although chemical cleaning can make the surface to a certain degree of cleanliness and roughness, its anchor pattern is shallow, and it is easy to cause pollution to the surrounding environment, so Meide Steel Control Manufacturing Co., Ltd. does not recommend this method.
3. Rust removal with tools: Use wire brushes and other tools to polish the steel surface, which can remove loose scale, rust, welding slag, etc. The rust removal of hand tools can reach the Sa2 level, and the rust removal of power tools can reach the Sa3 level. If the steel surface is attached with a strong oxide scale, the rust removal effect of the tool is not ideal, and the anchor pattern depth required for anti-corrosion construction cannot be reached. Compared with the original rust removal method.
4. Radiation rust removal: Radiation rust removal is driven by a high-power motor to rotate the radiation blades at high speed, so that steel shot, steel sand, iron wire segment, minerals, and other abrasives are radiated on the surface of the submerged arc steel pipe under the strong centrifugal force of the motor. Not only can oxides, rust, and dirt be removed, but submerged arc steel pipes can also achieve the required uniform roughness under the effect of strong abrasive impact and friction, which is a relatively perfect method of rust removal. Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is strongly recommended. After radiation de-rusting, not only the physical adsorption effect on the surface of the pipe can be expanded, but also the mechanical adhesion effect between the anti-corrosion layer and the surface of the pipe can be enhanced. Therefore, radiation de-rusting is an ideal de-rusting method for pipeline corrosion. Generally speaking, shot blasting and de-rusting should be used for the treatment of the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe, and shot blasting and de-rusting should be used for the surface treatment of submerged arc steel pipes.
