Coating Material:
3LPE coating is composed of epoxy resin layer, adhesive layer and polyethylene layer. Whereas 3LPP coating uses polypropylene.
Coating Thickness:
The thickness of 3LPE coating is generally between 1.8mm and 4.0mm, while the thickness of 3LPP coating is between 1.0mm and 4.5mm.
Application:
3PE coating is mainlyapplied for buried pipelines, and 3PP coating isapplied for above-ground pipelines.
Chemical Resistance:
3LPE coating provides better resistance to chemicals, acids and alkalis than 3LPP coating.
Temperature Resistance:
3LPE coatings can withstand temperatures up to 85°C, while 3LPP coatings can withstand temperatures up to 110°C.
UV Resistance:
3LPP coating is more UV resistant than 3LPE coating.
Corrosion Resistance:
Both 3LPE and 3LPP coatings have excellent corrosion resistance.
Installation:
3PE coating is more difficult to install than 3LPP coating because of its thickerlayer.
Cost:
Due to the additional material required, 3PE coatingis usually more expensive than 3LPP coating.
Durability:
Both 3LPE and 3LPP coatings are durable and provide long-term protection for pipes.
Environmental Impact:
Both 3LPE and 3LPP coatings are environmentally friendly and do not contain any harmful substances.
Maintenance:
Both 3LPE and 3LPP coatings require minimal maintenance and can be easily repaired if damaged. However, repairing 3LPE coating may require more effortbecause of its thickness.
